The DRECHSELMEISTER MIDI 2 PLUS lathe is the successor to the proven MIDI 2.

The "PLUS" in the name of the new version stands for the new cast iron bench bed, which has been completely redesigned and has a width of 30 cm.
The enlarged contact surface noticeably increases the stability of the machine and optimizes working comfort, as vibrations are now even better dampened.
(Many conventional table lathes have a stand width of only approx. 15 - 20 cm.)

Despite the new bench bed with a larger stand width, the weight has increased only slightly and the machine is therefore still very suitable for transport to markets etc.

In addition, the MIDI 2 PLUS scores with a few other decisive improvements:

NEW at the MIDI 2 PLUS:

New bench bed with an extra wide support surface (footprint) of 30 cm
Bench bed now suitable for the solid machine base PRO (Art. DDMIDI-105, option)
New palm rest 250 mm
New, larger face plate D = 95 mm (instead of 78 mm)
Magnetic control box with additional safety features:
- the green start button lights up when the machine is running
- A yellow LED warning lamp lights up when reverse running is activated
With main switch
With 2-stage brake switch*
