The MIDI 1 is the revised version of the table lathe classic MIDITEC FU-175, which has proven itself in countless turning workshops. The new version retains the solid characteristics of the predecessor and complements them with modern safety devices. The MIDI 1 now has an illuminated LED start button (lights up when the machine is in operation) and a new spindle with an M33 x 3.5 mm thread and ASR (Euro) safety groove.

The MIDI 1 table lathe is made entirely of gray cast iron. It is suitable for turning the finest work, such as writing implements, but thanks to the large power reserves (strong 1 HP motor with high-quality frequency converter) also for the production of bowls. For example, each pulley can be chased and turned.

On the spindle with M33 x 3.5 thread mount there is a groove for the ASR (Euro) safety system!
Appropriate accessories (e.g. chucks and faceplates with a safety groove) can be fixed to the spindle using a separately available clamping ring, thus preventing a workpiece from slipping off!
