Unlike common pointed tailstock centres, a Live Ring Centre eliminates the risk of splitting small section or brittle timber. The tip has a small point to help with alignment when mounting your work. Support comes from the raised ring or rim. A Live Ring Centre leaves only a small mark on the end of the workpiece. The body features sealed dust proof bearings for a long life turning on the lathe.
