Tormek Diamond Grinding Wheel 250mm

Tormek has developed three diamond grinding wheels for use with its water-cooled sharpening system that offer exceptional durability and the ability to sharpen tools both on the edge and on the side of the wheel.
The surface quality of the diamond provides consistent sharpening ability and a wheel that is virtually wear-free and therefore always remains at its full diameter. Low speed sharpening is ideal with diamond stones as no heat is generated.

These Tormek stones are constructed using a precision machined steel frame. The frame is coated with a single layer of diamond grit that is electrolytically set with nickel. When metal filings from your tool hit the abrasive cover, they will reach the steel structure through the pores in the nickel coating and be exposed to the steel core.

Therefore, you should always use ACC-150 Anti-Corrosion Concentrate when sharpening with water to prevent rust on the grinding wheel. Add 10 ml of concentrate to 250 ml of water (~4%). If you want to store the mixture overnight, remember to lower the bucket.
We recommend always using water when sharpening with these diamond wheels, as it prolongs the life of the stone and results in a smoother surface.
Dry sharpening is also possible.

Tormek Diamond stones are available in 3 different grits:

Coarse 360, Fine 600 and Extra-Fine 1200.
