The EXMAC A260 impresses with its robust construction, featuring solid cast iron tables that are virtually unbeatable in its class, and a special cutterhead with offset, 4-sided carbide (HW) indexable inserts.

The swiveling miter gauge allows for edge bevels from 90° to 45°. The overall length of the cast iron tables is 770 mm and can be extended to 1,350 mm with the integrated table extensions.

Cutterblock with carbide inserts (4-sided use!):

The advantage of this carbide insert cutterblock over conventional planer blocks, besides its long cutting edge life, lies in the fact that no fine adjustments are necessary when changing planer knives. This saves time and eliminates tedious setup work.

The repeatability and therefore precision of the carbide inserts is a significant benefit. If an insert is damaged, it is sufficient to replace only that insert, rather than potentially all the knives, as would be the case with a planer block.
