MAX4 Woodcut Bowl Removal System
WOODCUT Bowlsaver MAX4 - Safe, robust and easy to use.
Using customer feedback on the Bowlsaver Max3, the team at WOODCUT Tools, together with Ken Port and other international professional woodturners, have been designing, testing and developing the Bowlsaver Max4 for many years. Taking the time to listen to customers and ensure that the completely redesigned version of New Zealand's renowned bowl puller does not compromise and lives up to expectations.
WOODCUT systems are the only ones of their kind that connect to both the base of the tool rest and the tailstock of the lathe. This makes them easy to use for all levels of turners, from beginner to advanced.
With three blades included as standard. This can be used to produce bowls from 75mm (3'') to 450mm (18''). The basic material of the galvanized blades is high-performance steel, which is particularly stable and durable.
Strong stellite edges
When choosing the cutting edge, the Bowlsaver Max4 uses a material from the sawmill industry. The Stellite cutting edges used on all three blades are suitable for hard and soft wood, are extremely wear resistant and extremely durable. The great advantage lies in the resistance and robustness to the inclusions of wood.
The blades can be easily re-sharpened by hand with a CBN or diamond wheel at a pre-ground angle (10°).
massive body
The main body of the Bowlsaver Max4 consists of precision-milled cast aluminum. The design allows the blades to be held without play. In addition, the sheets are stabilized by guides and a durable support plate.
The rigid attachment of the bowl system to the tool rest base and tailstock (MK2) of your lathe ensures a solid connection and keeps vibrations to a minimum.
The supplied double-walled steel handle is 50 cm long and has a 21 cm long foam grip.
Detailed operating instructions and ready-to-use templates are included, with which you can immediately cut several bowls.
